What the GMS Upgrade Tracker is

A free planner for MapleStory (GMS) on both Interactive and Heroic worlds. You record a character's gear, stats, HEXA progress, and weekly income in a profile that stays in your own browser, and the tracker ranks where meso is best spent next. The same calculations power the standalone calculators under Tools, the public API, the Discord bot, and the assistant.

Where the numbers come from

One engine per mechanic

Every cost, probability, stat, and Final Damage figure comes from a single shared implementation for that mechanic: Star Force, Potential and cubing, flames and scrolling, the damage model, HEXA, Liberation, and the rest. The dashboard, the planner, each calculator, the API, and the assistant all call the same code, so a Star Force cost shown on a calculator is the same number the planner used to rank that upgrade. No page carries its own approximation.

GMS evidence, recorded and pinned

Rates and tables are taken from current GMS sources: official Nexon data, live in-game tooltips and API observations, and screenshots verified by the maintainer. Each table records where it came from and what it covers. Korean and other regional data and third-party calculators are used only to sanity-check direction; they never override a GMS value. Any change to a mechanic has to pass a correctness gate that re-runs every engine test and every parity test between the engines, the tools, and the API.

Calibrated against real characters

The power score and damage model are anchored to real, high-level GMS characters' in-game stat windows and cross-checked against an independent damage calculator across a large sample of characters and classes. A Final Damage gain shown here is meant to move your damage the way it does in game.

Unsupported means withheld, not guessed

When an input is missing or a mechanic is not yet supported (a custom item without sourced clean stats, a Zero or Destiny weapon without its exact profile, a table that has not been verified), the tool says so, names the item and the missing fact, and leaves everything else working. Random results are never applied to your gear automatically: you enter what actually happened.

The assistant does not do its own math

Its numeric answers come from signed calculation receipts produced by the same engines, or they are withheld. General MapleStory information it researches is shown with its source, and a web source never overrides an engine value.

Who it is for

  • Players on Interactive or Heroic worlds deciding what to upgrade next against a real weekly meso budget.
  • Players tracking HEXA Matrix, Liberation, Astra secondary, and Eternal progress week to week.
  • Anyone pricing an Auction House listing or an unequipped item against the gear they have on.
  • Guilds and parties checking boss clear pacing, and anyone browsing public rankings, character lookups, and population statistics.

Your data

Character profiles live in your browser, and nothing leaves it until you set an IGN. After that, two things are on by default and each is a toggle you can turn off in Settings:

  • Auto-save to cloud — your build uploads in the background about a minute after each edit, so you can pick it up on another device. Off, only the Save button writes to the server.
  • Public visibility— a saved build is listed on the leaderboard, once it has enough gear recorded and Nexon's rankings confirm the character, and gets a public character page showing that gear and power score. Off, both go away as soon as you flip it, though a character link someone already has still unfurls into a card.

The Discord bot stores nothing of its own: it answers a command and discards it. The Terms and Privacy page explains what is stored, how shared builds work, and how to remove your data.

Found a number that looks wrong?

Open an issue on GitHub with the item, the inputs you entered, and what you expected. Confirmed discrepancies become regression tests so they stay fixed. Shipped corrections are listed on the changelog.
